After crossing the San Ysidro border line, get into the far right lane and follow the first Mexicali-Tecate sign. Seconds later look for the second Mexicali-Tecate sign that puts you onto the freeway (via rapida) heading southeast.

Follow the freeway all the way to the end. Do not get off until the freeway ends! (Note: there are no traffic lights on the freeway)

At the end of the freeway turn right. (The sign says La Presa). Cross over the railroad tracks and at the traffic light turn right onto Diaz Ordaz Blvd. At the next traffic light turn left onto Contreras.

Continue up the hill and turn left around the circular “glorieta.”

Continue further up the hill and turn left at the second narrow street. The orphanage is the third house on the left.

• If you are lost right away – ask for the via rapida toward La Presa
• If you are lost at the end of the via rapida – ask for Colonia Los Pinos
• If you are lost at Los Pinos – ask for Escuela Secondaria Numero Cuatro
