Los Angelitos Orphanage is located approximately 8 miles southeast of downtown Tijuana. The principal residence is a five-bedroom house with kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, library area, and study room. In addition to the principal residence, there is a storage room for food and supplies, administrator’s office and living quarters, a small gymnasium, pool, and various outdoor yard areas.

There are currently 21 children living at the facility in addition to the Children’s Director, Director of Administration, two childcare workers, and various part-time volunteers.

Leticia Velazquez Hernandez (Hermana Leti) is the Director in charge of all of the children and childcare workers. Hermana Leti was born in Sonora, Mexico and at the age of three became an orphan. Growing up as an orphan in Mexico was a struggle for her and helped form the foundation for her strong dedication to serving the needs of the children of this orphanage. Hermana Leti is a graduate of the Institute of Biblical Studies, Tijuana, Mexico.

Edward Perry is the Director of Administration, and is in charge of administration, facilities, maintenance, finances, and overall planning. Edward was born in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains and at the age of 4 ½ was placed in an orphanage along with his sister of age 3 ½. There he learned about the hardships of being separated from his mother (attachment disorganization) and the loneliness of an institutionalized orphanage. This experience had a profound influence on his purpose in life and in later years shaped his ministry of serving orphans and abandoned children. Edward has several degrees, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Santa Clara University, Master of Business Administration, Santa Clara University, and Master of Education, Concordia University.

Paulette Juarez Grageda and Maria (Mari) Gonzalez are both full-time, dedicated childcare workers here at the orphanage and have a deep understanding and love for the children that they care for. Paulette is currently enrolled in the Institute of Biblical Studies, Tijuana, and Mari is a recent graduate of the Institute of Biblical Studies.
